Top Ten Tuesday - Book Covers That Feel Like Summer
Hi! Welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday. Today's topic is book cover's that feel like summer. Summer is my favorite time of the year! I grew up mainly on the coast so being in a landlocked state, as my husband calls it, is not as much fun. So, I will naturally gravitate to books with beachy scenes.
Do these feel like summer to you? Let me know in the comments.

Chasing Valentino by Julie Carobini Reviewed
Title: Chasing Valentino
Author: Julie Carobini
Can a postcard from the past ... give them a future?
As a child, Greta had heard about her great-gran's past as a starlet in the 1921 film, The Sheik, starring Rudolph Valentino. And she had always wondered why Great-gran eventually settled for a less-than glamorous life.
Greta's own life had lost some shine lately, too, with a broken engagement and job layoff. Was she destined to live a drab existence as well?
When a nearly 100-year old postcard appears in her mailbox, raising questions about her great-gran's life, Greta seizes a chance to delve into the past, and perhaps, change her own destiny.
Hollywood by the Sea, that fabled stretch of beach, may have been the background for Valentino films, but Dr. Zac Holt found it less than glamorous. Rowdy tourists, a broken heart, and his annoying neighbor drove that point deeper. Yet when Greta rents the place next to his house for the summer, he's intrigued by her warmth and curious nature.
Unfortunately, the disillusioned doctor insults his new neighbor from the start with his sour attitude, and his attempts to make amends are met with caution.
Greta hadn't come to the small beach town to find love, but answers. She'd already had more than her share of romantic failures, and an embittered doctor wasn't going to change that.
It will take a starry-eyed exploration of Hollywood by the Sea and beyond to change Greta and Zac. And what they discover in themselves--and each other--might just heal them both.

My Thoughts
This was a sweet story of a young woman's search for her family history. Having lived in the area the book was set in it was fun revisiting.
The mystery surrounding the postcard was done very well and had me guessing about it until the end.
The neighbors Helen and Gus added quite a lot of fun and quirkiness to the overall story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Ms. Carobini takes you to the beach and the surrounding area of the Ventura, California area. This is a perfect spring and summertime read.
Disclaimer: I received a copy of the book from the publisher. I was not required to write a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Rainy Day Reads
Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is rainy day reads. Since I am not a fan of cold, rainy, and snowy weather when it's cold and rainy, because that is the type of rainy days we have in Idaho, I want to be somewhere warm. So reading books set in warm weather is where I want to be.
Set in Florida
Set in North Carolina.
I can't remember where this is set, but it has summer in the title which makes it a perfect rainy day read.
Can't go wrong with a swoony PBR bull rider on a ranch in Montana.
This is a favored series because it is set in Ventura, California where I used to live.
Perfect for rainy day reading!
All of these author's are favorites and my go to to read, purchase, and keep on my shelf. If I'm not in the mood for a warm read, which is very unlikely, I just go to my TBR shelf and pick one.
What books do you curl up with on a rainy day? Let me know in the comments.
