My Thoughts
This was such a fun book! I was completely absorbed in this novel, the 1920's and the lives of Mick and Vera.
The Roaring Twenties came alive in full color through Ms. McDaniel's pen. The characters were real and true to the speakeasies of the day.
So much of this novel reminded me of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, which is my absolute favorite classic.
I loved everything about this book and was sad to see it end. Rachel Scott McDaniel is an author I plan on reading more from.
