Top Ten Tuesday - Authors I Miss Reading

Happy Tuesday! Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday edition sponsored by That Artsy Reader Girl. Today's topic is basically the authors we miss. Whether they've passed on, retired from writing, or put it on the back burner for a while. Whatever the reason, these authors have made an imprint on our lives and we miss them. I'll link a favorite book to their name.

I will also have a blog update at the end.

Sandie (Sandra) D. Bricker. I never met this sweet lady face to face but I had the privilege of helping her with her street team when street teams first started being a thing. Love Finds You in Hollywood, Florida was the first book I read of Sandie's and I fell in love. She knew how to wrap romance, comedy, and the gift of salvation in her writing and touch so many readers. She lost her battle with Ovarian Cancer on October 28, 2022

Frank Peretti. Way before I became a reviewer my Sunday School Class read This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness and I've read all of his books since and have found out recently that he lives Coeur d'Alene here in Idahoand would love to find a way to meet him.

Deanne GistI haven't seen hide nor hair of Deanne in I don't know how long

The last book I read of Deanne Gist was Tiffany Girl, but my

favorite book of hers is It Happened At the Fair.

Camy Tang. As a Navy brat and former Navy wife,
I loved being around all the different races and ethnicities
that we lived around in base housing, and Camy's books
were likebeing immersed in the culture.
Deadly Intent was the first book that I read of hers.

Diann Hunt. The only books I've read of Ms. Hunt's
are those written with other authors. Which is the Smitten
Book Club series. It is a hoot of a series, so if you
haven't read themand are looking for a good beach read
these are perfect. Secretly Smitten is probably my favorite.

Tracy L. Higley is a biblical fiction author and while
I haven't seen much from her in a year or two I believe
she's still writing. Garden of Madness which focused on the
Babylonian captivity and Nebuchadnezzar has to be my favorite.

Julie Cantrell. I see her on social media but the last book
I reviewed of hers was Perennials and I'd love another one!

Varina Denman. I see her on social media but I miss her books.
My absolute favorite was Looking Glass Lies. It's a book
every woman should read!

Rachel Dylan. While we don't agree on college football teams
GA VS UF, we do agree on reading material though. I really
loved her Capital Intrigue series and would love
another book from her.

Blog Update:

Dear Authors, Readers, and Friends,

I wanted to update you about why my reviews, posts,
and responses are lacking or less than what has been
the norm since I began blogging back in 2007. In 2019 my
Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and after four years
of trying to get my mom on board with moving into assisted living,
which was their plan they purchased long-term
care insurance because they knew it was going to happen.
Finally, last summer my Mom agreed that it was time to move.
Things were going fine for a while and in
March of this year it was discovered that my younger sibling
had been stealing money from them.
During an Adult Protection Investigation,
I and my husband became both Guardians
and Conservators for my parents.
I have a nightmare-ish mess that I am in
the process of cleaning up. So, if reviews
are delayed, I don't participate in Top Ten Tuesday,
First Line Friday, or respond to comments I promise
I am not blowing anyone off.
I'm literally trying to clean up a mess I didn't create.

Thank you for reading and I am so blessed
and thankful for this blogging community.

Top Ten Tuesday Featuring One Word Title Books

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday. Today's topic is one-word titles. Sorry, I missed last week. I fully intended to do it, but time just got away. I hope y'all are having a great summer and staying cool. I'm still recovering from all of the lung illnesses so sadly I've just been inside and haven't seen my grandkids in weeks and I miss them.

I hope you've found a new book or two to add to what I'm sure is a long and growing summer-to-read list.

Have a great Tuesday!!

A Time to Seek ( The Time Travel Journals of Sahara Aldridge # 1) by Tracy L. Higley Reviewed

About the book:

Title: A Time To Seek

Author: Tracy Higley

Series: The Time Travel Journals of Sahara Aldridge #1

Her Future Destiny is Hidden in the Ancient Past.

Sahara Aldridge, a young Egyptologist in 1922, is making a name for herself on the digsite soon to become Egypt’s most sensational discovery—the tomb of the boy-king, Tutankhamun.

Despite opposition from a mostly-male profession, Sahara fights to continue the legacy of her Egyptologist parents, who died tragically at sea when she was a teen.

But then a childhood friend finds a lost journal written by Sahara’s mother, hinting at the bizarre possibility of time-travel, and a crazy suspicion forces Sahara to confront a freak incident years earlier…

Is it possible her parents were time travelers?

And has she inherited this mind-blowing ability?

When the American journalist Jack Moretti begins asking too many questions, Sahara suspects he knows more than he’s telling.

Did her parents truly perish in an accident? Or did someone target and murder them because of their time traveling gift?

There’s only one way to unearth the truth.

Sahara must travel back in time, to the days of King Tut.

But the biggest surprise is yet to come… the truth about her parents, and about her own destiny, discovered in the whispers of conspiracy around the death of Egypt’s most famous Pharaoh.

But what secrets are better left buried?

My Thoughts

Over the years I have enjoyed all the biblical travels that I have gone on through Tracy Higley's writing.

I was very intrigued with the element of time travel in her new book A Time to Seek which is a complete hit! There are twists and turns to keep the reader glued to the page.

Higley's love of all things Egyptian and her research shines through every part of this book and prepares the reader for the next book in the trilogy.

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not required to write a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
