Happy Tuesday! Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday edition sponsored by That Artsy Reader Girl. Today's topic is basically the authors we miss. Whether they've passed on, retired from writing, or put it on the back burner for a while. Whatever the reason, these authors have made an imprint on our lives and we miss them. I'll link a favorite book to their name.
I will also have a blog update at the end.
Sandie (Sandra) D. Bricker. I never met this sweet lady face to face but I had the privilege of helping her with her street team when street teams first started being a thing. Love Finds You in Hollywood, Florida was the first book I read of Sandie's and I fell in love. She knew how to wrap romance, comedy, and the gift of salvation in her writing and touch so many readers. She lost her battle with Ovarian Cancer on October 28, 2022
Frank Peretti. Way before I became a reviewer my Sunday School Class read This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness and I've read all of his books since and have found out recently that he lives Coeur d'Alene here in Idahoand would love to find a way to meet him.
Deanne Gist. I haven't seen hide nor hair of Deanne in I don't know how long
The last book I read of Deanne Gist was Tiffany Girl, but my
favorite book of hers is It Happened At the Fair.
I loved being around all the different races and ethnicities
that we lived around in base housing, and Camy's books
were likebeing immersed in the culture.
Deadly Intent was the first book that I read of hers.
Diann Hunt. The only books I've read of Ms. Hunt's are those written with other authors. Which is the Smitten
Book Club series. It is a hoot of a series, so if you
haven't read themand are looking for a good beach read
these are perfect. Secretly Smitten is probably my favorite.
I haven't seen much from her in a year or two I believe
she's still writing. Garden of Madness which focused on the
Babylonian captivity and Nebuchadnezzar has to be my favorite.
I reviewed of hers was Perennials and I'd love another one!
My absolute favorite was Looking Glass Lies. It's a book
every woman should read!
GA VS UF, we do agree on reading material though. I really
loved her Capital Intrigue series and would love
another book from her.
Blog Update:
Dear Authors, Readers, and Friends,
I wanted to update you about why my reviews, posts,
and responses are lacking or less than what has been
the norm since I began blogging back in 2007. In 2019 my
Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and after four years
of trying to get my mom on board with moving into assisted living,
which was their plan they purchased long-term
care insurance because they knew it was going to happen.
Finally, last summer my Mom agreed that it was time to move.
Things were going fine for a while and in
March of this year it was discovered that my younger sibling
had been stealing money from them.
During an Adult Protection Investigation,
I and my husband became both Guardians
and Conservators for my parents.
I have a nightmare-ish mess that I am in
the process of cleaning up. So, if reviews
are delayed, I don't participate in Top Ten Tuesday,
First Line Friday, or respond to comments I promise
I am not blowing anyone off.
I'm literally trying to clean up a mess I didn't create.
Thank you for reading and I am so blessed
and thankful for this blogging community.

Wow, you have a lot on your plate right now. I hope life calms down for you soon.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.
Deanne Gist...YES! I haven't seen anything from her in a while. In fact, I haven't really thought about her books until I read your post. I hope she is OK and just took a hiatus. Great list!
I am so sorry to hear about everything going on in your life. That is a lot to carry!
Great list, Andi!! I am so sorry to hear of the mess you are in the middle of!! I hope everything is resolved soon and life calms down for you soon! Sending virtual hugs.
Thank you all for dropping by and for your kind words. I think I've whittled down the big stuff and I can see light on the horizon.
Writing this blog post made me miss all of these wonderful authors!! I hope the few that are still with us will resurface soon!
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Andi
Andi, I’m so sorry about everything you’re dealing with right now! Thank you for mentioning me! I’ve actually been publishing, although in multi-author box sets. I released a book last year and I have another releasing next month, Summer Suspicions. I’ve been keeping people updated through my website and my newsletter if you wanted to sign up: https://bit.ly/camynewsletter
Thanks for thinking of me!
