My Thoughts
It's been a long time since I've read an Irene Hannon novel, and while I have missed her stories, I am glad I started out with a new series. So, many times I've requested a review copy only to find out that it's book two or three. I will say that most of Revell's authors are really good at making each book in a series stand alone. I'm just a reader who wants to read each of them and in order.
Irene Hannon is an author who can keep a reader glued to the page. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the bad guy was. She definitely knows how to keep a reader guessing who the bad guy is. And even when you find out who the bad guy is it literally blows your mind. I was really upset at who the bad guy was, which shows that Ms. Hannon creates characters that a reader will connect with and care about. Which is what good authors do.
I read this book in a day which was fun since I haven't done that in ages.
