The Key to Love by Betsy St. Amant - Reviewed

Title: The Key to Love

Author: Betsy St. Amant

Genre: Inspirational Contemporary Romance

Publisher: Revell

The only thing Bri Duval loves more than baking petit fours is romance. So much so, she's created her own version of the famous Parisian lovelock wall at her bakery in Story, Kansas. She never expects it to go viral--or for Trek Magazine to send travel writer Gerard Fortier to feature the bakery. He's definitely handsome, but Bri has been holding out for a love story like the one her parents had, and that certainly will not include the love-scorned-and-therefore-love-scorning Gerard.

Just when it seems Bri's bakery is poised for unprecedented success, a series of events threaten not just her business but the pedestal she's kept her parents on all these years. Maybe Gerard is right about romance. Or maybe Bri's recipe just needs to be tweaked.

My Thoughts

Contemporary Rom-Com at it's finest!! Small town, quirky characters right down to Mrs. Beeker the owner of the very eccentric B&B, fabulous character banter, with all the feels of small town living.

The legacy of Story is something Bri is trying to hold onto and believes Gerard, a travel writer sent to Story to write an article about the Lovelock wall is there to destroy it. Bri and Gerard don't exactly hit it off in fact they do more arguing than anything else.

Both Bri and Gerard are flawed in their own way which makes watching their transformation fun. He is beyond cynical and she is sentimental adding to their chemistry.

I adored this book! It does have a hallmark-y feel to it. A completely fun read! I highly recommend it!
