Thursday Encouragement #14 . . . Fear

Happy Thursday, Friday Eve! Although, I'm not too sure Monday looks all that different from Friday at this point. Here it really depends on the week.

I really hope you are finding more hope than fear during this time. I know it has to be hard to not buy into fear given the current pandemic of COVID19. The news and social media are definitely not on the side of hope! With that said I thought I'd use what FEAR represents and show God's response to it.

This image is what FEAR represents. I'm not saying that COVID19 is False, we know that it is, but does all of what we've been told and seen truth, or is it false evidence appearing real?
As believers we need to remember that the enemy is a master deceiver and will do anything to take our focus off of God and truth where hope exists.

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Other translations use the word timidness, timidity.

God is not in fear. Fear is not hope or love, and God is both hope and love. So, as you finish out this week compare what you've been told, read, or seen regarding the pandemic and lay it next to God's word. What He says is true, and He is for us not against us!

Now, it's your turn . . . what have you been reading in the Bible? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments and then go visit my blogger buddies for more Thursday Encouragement!!

Thank you for the reminder today! This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible.

I love that acronym. And I love this reminder that God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has made us strong in Him! Amen!
