About Sarah Sundin

Sarah Sundin enjoys writing about the drama and romance of the World War II era. My Thoughts:

I've been enjoying Sarah Sundin's WWII novels since I read Wings of Glory in 2010. Ms. Sundin's knowledge and story telling of our American forces during the WWII era is unmatched. 

Although I am sad to see this series end, The Land Beneath Us was a perfect conclusion to the Sunrise at Normandy series.

Ms. Sundin uses the biblical story of Rachel and Leah to bring the faith element to life. Making the story more than just a transport back to the Normandy of WWII. 

Clay and Leah have to be one of my favorite bookish couples. I loved how Ms. Sundin wove in Leah's own adoption story, and her own dilemma of whether or not to choose adoption. It was touching and brought memories of what my own birth mother might have gone through.

While I have loved every book in the Sunrise at Normandy series I believe this one is my favorite! 

I highly recommend this book!

My Thoughts:

This book, Y'all! This book is a historical lover's dream! 
Laura Frantz brings the 1770's to life in a very real way. With her vivid imagery and storytelling Ms. Frantz has created real, believable characters and their world of fort life in 1770 Virginia to life on every page. 
The budding romance between Tessa and Clay is swoon-worthy and shows Laura Frantz's talent at her finest.Tessa's desire for a flounced petty coat at the opening in the book just shows her sweetness. Clay was the perfect hero for this story. His care for not just Tessa but the entire Swan family was endearing.
While I wanted to read this quickly the moment I received it, I wasn't able to because of the holidays and it turned out for the best because this book is meant to be savored. 
As with all of Laura Frantz's books the faith element is perfectly placed and sinks right into the reader's heart.
I highly recommend this book, it will enrich your life!
