Happy Tuesday, and welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday sponsored by That Artsy Reader Girl. Today's theme is Books Set in/Take Place During X (Pick a place, time, era, etc. Examples: Books set in Europe/Italy/Australia/Chicago, books set in Regency England, books that take place during the 1900s, books set in imaginary worlds/post-apocalyptic/dystopian worlds, books set on the ocean, books set in castles, books that take place during WW2, etc.) I chose books set in biblical times. They're some of my favorite reads and don't get highlighted enough.
This is book two of Mesu Andrews' David's Wives series. It releases on August 19, 2025.
I love all of the genres within Christian Fiction, but biblical fiction seems to be my favorite. It's fun seeing the character differently and through the eyes of someone else.
Have you read any of these books? Are some waiting on your TBR? Let me know in the comments.

This is a wonderful "Top Ten Tuesday" post! I absolutely agree that biblical fiction is a fantastic genre that deserves more attention. It's so enjoyable to see these stories and characters brought to life through different eyes. I'll definitely be checking out some of these titles. Thanks for sharing such a great list!
I really like your choice this week, Olivia. I will refer to this list as I select future books for my TBR shelf. I haven't read enough Biblical fiction.
Sorry, I mean Andi.
great list! I love books by Tessa Afshar & Connilyn Cossette too :)
Thanks! Absolutely! I love biblical books because they put skin on our Bible heroes.
Please do! Tosca Lee also wrote a book about the Queen of Sheba titled The Legend of Sheba. It was really good.
Thanks, Carrie. I love Tessa Afshar as well. For some reason I just can’t get into one of Connilyn Cossette’s books. It makes me sad.
I am not familiar with any of these books. But the covers are all so interesting.

I am hit or miss with Biblical Fiction, I have read some and enjoyed some, but some authors definitely write it better than others. I have several of these on my TBR.
