Top Ten Tuesday - How Has My Blogging Changed Over The Last Eighteen Years

Happy Tuesday, and welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday sponsored by That Artsy Reader Girl. Today's topic is how my blogging has changed since I started blogging. I started blogging eighteen years ago so this will be interesting.

1. When I started in 2007, I was a part of a blogging association. Each month, I'd choose which books I want to tour for the month. I am no longer a part of the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance because it is no longer around.

2. I am way pickier about the books I accept for review. I am a mom to six adult kids, and my twelfth grandchild is on his way.

3. Until about six or seven years ago, I'd never DNF a book. I'd struggle through it and attempt to write a positive review. Now, after 50 pages, if I'm not attached to the characters and storyline, it's DNF'd, and sometimes sooner.

4. While my main focus is Inspirational Fiction, and will always be Christian Fiction, I've changed my reading preferences. I really enjoy memoirs and some secular authors.

5. Like any good reader, I love the feel of a physical book in my hand. However, I prefer to read on my Kindle. This is especially good if I forget to snag a book when I'm on my way out the door.

6. The look of my blog has changed, as well as the graphics I use for reviews, Top Ten Tuesday, and First Line Fridays.

7. I have joined weekly blog link-ups, which have been a nice addition, plus they are fun.

8. I have given myself permission to do other things that I enjoy. When I first became a blogger I was blogging nearly every day. While I enjoy blogging I have found other things that bring me enjoyment as well.

I can't think of any more changes. This has been fun! What changes has your blog had over the years? Tell me in the comments. If I don't answer right away I had an early doctor's appointment and may be napping.

I've been bloggins for 19 years, so we're both "oldies" in the book blogosphere!

NINETEEN grandkids? That's spectacular. I have one and I want MORE! Being a grandma is the best :)

Happy TTT!

Honestly, I think that’s the best gift you can give yourself as a reviewer. Books are subjective just like all art mediums and we shouldn’t have to force ourselves to finish a book just because we should.

Yes, we are! Don’t find many of us oldies around. Lol
I think you misread. My 12th grandchild is on the way. 12 plus 6 kids is enough. Christmas shopping already starts in July I don’t need to start earlier. Haha
Happy TTT!

Often characters redeem themselves after 50 pages :)
