All's Fair in Love and Christmas by Sarah Monzon Reviewed

About the book:

Title: All's Fair in Love and Christmas

Author: Sarah Monzon

Genre: Inspirational Contemporary Christmas Romance

Every December two things are guaranteed for graphic designer Mackenzie Graham--Christmas celebrations and the annual promotion at her workplace. Those two things are by no means mutually exclusive. In fact, the better an employee is at harnessing the Christmas spirit, the more likely they'll win the new job. With her social anxiety, Mackenzie never thought she'd be a contender in her company's holiday competition, so how exactly has she found herself dueling her workplace crush with wrapping paper tubes and using tinsel as her weapon of choice for a much-needed raise?

Jeremy Fletcher's life is meticulously planned out, including how to win this year's promotion at work. Not only will the new position fulfill some of his career goals, but the raise will help him as a single guardian to his twin niece and nephew. Jeremy has barely noticed Mackenzie Graham around the office, but now that she's his rival, he can't stop thinking about her. Her quirkiness intrigues him, and he's afraid that if he can't get his head on straight, the job isn't the only thing he'll end up losing to Mackenzie.

'Tis the season for romance, faith, and humor--all wrapped up in this enchanting holiday rom-com from award-winning author Sarah Monzon.

My Thoughts

This was an absolutely delightful and witty read. Watching Mackenzie and Jeremy attempt to out Christmas each other was both charming and sweet. The ending was both endearing and perfect for this lovely story.

This book is similar to her Sewing in SoCal series and her Book Nerds and Boyfriends series with a sweet romance and lots of humor that has become a signature of Ms. Monzon.

With all the humor infused into this book, Ms. Monzon does not lose the true meaning of Christmas. She captures it perfectly.

About Sarah Monzon

A Carol award finalist and Selah award winner, Sarah Monzon is a stay-at-home mom who makes up imaginary friends to have adult conversations with (otherwise known as writing novels). As a navy chaplain's wife, she resides wherever the military happens to station her family and enjoys exploring the beauty of the world around her.

Like most writers, I hear voices, a.k.a my characters, and can't get those voices out of my head until I write down their story (which they tell to me...I have no control whatsoever). Think I'm a bit crazy? That's okay. My husband thinks so too and he still loves me.

My family is my life and I am 100% devoted to them.

I'm socially awkward and canNOT small talk for the life of me. Which, one would think, authors should be good at since we sit and make up dialogue all day. Sigh. I wish that were the case. Thankfully my husband and kids can both talk up a storm so I normally just hide behind them and smile. (This was said in fair warning in case we meet in person)

And because I've admitted I can't carry on a conversation, if there is anything else you want to know about me, just send me a message! Can't wait to hear from you. =)
