My Thoughts:
Oh my goodness, this was a fabulous combination of humor, music from the 70s, and two broken people in need of healing.
I read Sylvia's Mother and loved it so I was excited to read Runaround Sue and it did NOT disappoint.
Forgiveness was a big theme in this book and as someone who has had to forgive someone for the most hurtful thing I'd ever gone through, I felt every emotion that Ms. Cary penned into this novel.
While the book wasn't what I'd call "Bible beating you over the head;" Ms. Cary did not shy away from showing Mac and Sue the future that only God can provide and it was beautiful.
