I know it's been quite awhile since my last Thursday Encouragement. This entire quarantine life has been messing with my head. I'm in a read through the Bible group on YouVersion and I came across these verses.
1 Kings 19:11-12
11And he said, “Go out and stand on the mount before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire the sound of a low whisper.
These verses just hit me in the head! As I read these verses I thought of how we expect or desire God to show up in a BIG way but do we pay attention to the small whisper?
Since reading these verses I am paying more attention to the small whispers more! I know I haven't been looking or listening for those until I read those verses.

I love your post today. It's a great reminder that I need to relax and listen for God's Voice in the small things. 😀
Thank you for this encouragement. I can get caught up with looking and longing for Gid to show up in huge and fancy ways, but God doesn't need to be flashy, I just need to be still and listen for his still voice.
