WRAP UP
This post is a few days late but it's been crazy busy around here, which seems to be the norm of late.
April kicked off with a trip across the country to Christian Fiction Reader's Retreat. I'm not a fan of flying but the long flight, exhaustion, was worth every minute of meeting other bloggers and author's face to face.
A week after I returned home from Maryland, my oldest granddaughter turned 11 and suddenly I felt old. Me and my Nani-Monster!
Even with travel and birthday's I managed to read five books. In case you missed them you can read my reviews by following the links.
The Secrets of Paper and Ink by Lindsay Harrell
The Memory House by Rachel Hauck
Far Side of the Sea by Kate Breslin
Dear Daughters by Susie Davis
Whose Waves These Are by Amanda Dykes
The most popular post in April was a Top Ten Tuesday post titled I Pick Up a Book Because.
If travel and birthday's weren't crazy enough we've been in the middle of landscaping our backyard. Something we should've done when we built but didn't.
Here's a few pictures of the progress.
It's supposed to be finished tomorrow. I'm seriously not holding my breath. But it has been fun watching our yucky dead grass backyard turn into a place I want to spend time outside reading, and maybe even blog. 😊😊
Coming up for review . . .
The Art of Rivers (Coastal Hearts BK 3) by Janet W. Ferguson
Sweet On You (Bradford Sisters BK 3) by Becky Wade
Moments We Forget (Thatcher Sisters BK 2) by Beth K. Vogt
Pages of Her Life by James L. Rubart
The INSPY Awards selected judges for the 2019 awards and I am honored to have been chosen as one of the judges for the Contemporary Romance/Romantic Suspense genre. My TBR will grow some to prepare for judging.
How was your April? Did you do anything exciting? Read a new author or genre?
What do you have planned for May? Tell me in the comments.
