About the book:

Title: Second Impressions

He likes streamline. She prefers embellishments. His forte is business. Hers is atmosphere. Will they realize each has what the other needs most to create the perfect romance with a touch of Jane Austen flair?

About Pepper Basham:

Pepper D Basham has been telling tales ever since she was a little girl. When her grandmother called her a “writer” at the age of ten, Pepper took it as gospel and has enjoyed various types of writing styles ever since. A native of the Blue Ridge Mountains, mom of five, speech-language pathologist, and lover of chocolate, Pepper enjoys sprinkling her native Appalachian culture into her fiction wherever she can. She currently resides in the lovely mountains of Asheville, NC, where she works with kids who have special needs, searches for unique hats, and plots new ways to annoy her wonderful friends at her writing blog, The Writer’s Alley.

My Thoughts:

Somehow I didn't write a review of this book back in 2017, and I have no idea why. Looking through my kindle copy I had several highlighted portions so it made no sense that I'd forget to write a review.

In re-reading this novella I was once again laughing out loud. This is a quick read novella that will take you from the Blue Ridge Mountains to Bath, England. During the trip you will meet Nora, a true Jane Austen fan, and Ethan who is kindly known as Mr. Grumpy-and-Gorgeous.

In true Pepper Basham style she creates quirky characters that will have you laughing, and sighing at their antics. The landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Bath, England make the perfect backdrop for this romantic comedy.

If you are looking for a laugh out loud comfort read this is a perfect choice. I highly recommend it!
