Meet the author:
Katherine Reay has enjoyed a life-long affair with the works of Jane
Austen and her contemporaries. After earning degrees in history and
marketing from Northwestern University, she worked as a marketer for
Proctor & Gamble and Sears before returning to school to earn her
MTS. Her works have been published in "Focus on the Family" and the
"Upper Room." Katherine currently lives with her husband and three
children in Seattle. "Dear Mr. Knightley" is her first novel.

My Thoughts: Have you ever received a gift that was such a blessing you were overwhelmed? That's what happened to Sam. After living in the foster care system she receives a gift of going to journalism school. All this anonymous benefactor requires is that she writes him telling him her progress.
I enjoyed the letter writing between Sam and Mr. Knightley, the banter between them was fun. I loved Mr. Knightley. This was a great book by a debut author and I don't think this will be the last we hear of Katherine Reay.
Highly recommended!
