Writing reviews for blog alliances

I've only been blogging for Christian Fiction Blog Alliance for about a year now and for FIRST about six months. When I first started my blog it was for me to keep track of my reading not for writing reviews. Then when I got involved with these alliances and had so many different types of books that I enjoy reading coming in at all different times, I thought how in the world am I going to write reviews about these books, and good ones by the time the tour rolls around, especially when we sometimes don't receive the book on time. A dear friend who blogs for CFBA told me that when I write a review that giving teasers was a good thing because it sparked the interest to the book as long as I didn't give away the ending to a book. So that got me to thinking, I didn't have to have finished the book to be able to write a review for a blog tour. Being able to write *teasers* can come from any point in the book, and being that I could be halfway, to three-quarters of the way through the book, I believe I have a good take on what's going on in the book, and the author to be able to write a fair review for the blog tour. I just think it may be something other bloggers who find themselves wanting to write a review, but feel that they "have" to finish the book to write it may want to consider.
