This is JA Konrath's fifth installment of his Jack Daniels mystery series. I read this book in less than 24 hours. I couldn't put it down from page 1 to the end.
First let me say that for a man, JA can write women personas to a tee! From Jack, to Alex, to Jack's Mom - he nails each character perfectly. The suspense in the book is awesome. You don't know from one page to the next what is going to happen. There are so many spine chilling moments in this book you will be hanging on the edge of your seat, and asking yourself "how in the world did he come up with this?" At least I was.
It of course wouldn't be a Jack Daniel's mystery without some humor and there's plenty of that too.
The book is a home run hit! You will want to kill Alex with your bare hands, scream at Herb for not loosing weight again. Laugh at Harry, and Phin. Cry with Jackie's Mom.
Out of 5 stars I give it a 5!

I love mysteries, but I haven't heard of JA Konrath. Thanks for posting about him, Sandie. I'll definitely look this author up.
