Top Ten Tuesday - Fall TBR

Today's Top Ten Tuesday is our fall TBR. A good number of my fall TBR was on last week's top ten so, I may have some duplicates.

Might as well add this bad boy because I'll be going back to school and I'll be reading it more than anything else.

Happy Tuesday! Welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday! Today's topic is a cover freebie and I haven't done a cover love post in awhile so I thought I'd use Pantone's fall color palette along with some upcoming releases.

My Best Historical Reads of 2019

 This list should give you a good idea of what genre I read the most of. This is basically every historical book I read last year. The most difficult part of just choosing a few in this genre is that each book touches a different point in history and I was completely engrossed in each one. They made me wish for simpler times.  



So . . . in no particular order . . .

My Thoughts:

Lori Benton's latest book is what good inspirational historical fiction is made of. Rich detail that makes you feel like you are right there in colonial North Carolina with Alex MacKinnon as he is begins his indentured life at Severn Plantation. 

This story is captivating in all the great ways a good story does. Even with the difficulties the characters struggle to overcome there is hope. The wonderful hope that can only come from our Heavenly Father. The main themes that run through the story like a beautiful woven thread is grace and mercy. 

Ms. Benton has written another beautiful story wrapped with grace and mercy. This would be a great addition for any historical fiction fan to add to their summer reading list.

TBR: To Add or Not To Add

As an avid reader we all know our TBR piles grows daily, sometimes hourly. Today's Top Ten Tuesday is books you've recently added to your to be read pile.

In a way this topic is a little unfair because we're still in January of 2019 however, there is always a new read popping up in the most unlikely places.

I pulled the last ten books I had just added to my Goodreads shelf and I know I'll probably add ten more by the end of the week.
