Week TWO of my TEN Week Blogaversary Giveaways. This week I will be featuring another favorite author of mine, Julie Lessman.
I fell in love with Julie when I read her debut novel A Passion Most Pure, book 1 in her Daughter's of Boston series. Julie can create romantic tension in her books with a look, a kiss, and a smile. I need a fan on and a glass of cold water near by when reading any of her books.
Julie has graciously offered THREE signed novels for this weeks giveaway.
#1 A Passion Most Pure
About the book:
She's found the love of her life.
Unfortunately, he loves her sister.
As
World War I rages across the Atlantic in 1916, a smaller war is brewing
in Boston. Faith O'Connor finds herself drawn to an Irish rogue who is
anything but right for her. Collin McGuire is brash, cocky, and from the
wrong side of the tracks, not to mention forbidden by her father. And
then there's the small matter that he is secretly courting her younger
sister. But when Collin's affections shift, it threatens to tear her
proper Boston family apart.
Book 1 of the Daughters of Boston
series, A Passion Most Pure will carry your heart from the sophisticated
streets of Boston to the green hills of Ireland as men go off to war
and women long for their return. Full of passion, romance, rivalry, and
betrayal, it will captivate you from the first page.
MY REVIEW
# 2 A Light in the Window Is this not a beautiful cover? The young woman is Julie's beautiful daughter.
About the book:
One Woman. Two Men.
One stirs her pulse and the other her faith.
But who will win her heart?
Marceline
Murphy is a gentle beauty with a well-founded aversion to rogues. But
when two of Boston's most notorious pursue her, she encounters a
tug-of-war of the heart she isn’t expecting. Sam O’Rourke is the
childhood hero she’s pined for, the brother of her best friend and a
member of the large, boisterous family to which she longs to be a part.
So when his best friend Patrick O’Connor joins in pursuit of her
affections, the choice seems all too clear. Sam is from a family of
faith and Patrick is not, two rogues whose wild ways clash head-on with
Marcy’s—both in her faith and in her heart.
While overseeing the
Christmas play fundraiser for the St. Mary’s parish soup kitchen—A
Light in the Window—Marcy not only wrestles with her attraction to both
men, but with her concern for their spiritual welfare. The play is based
on the Irish custom of placing a candle in the window on Christmas Eve
to welcome the Holy Family, and for Marcy, its message becomes deeply
personal. Her grandmother Mima cautions her to guard her heart for the
type of man who will respond to the "light in the window," meaning the
message of Christ in her heart. But when disaster strikes during the
play, Marcy is destined to discover the truth of the play’s message
first-hand when it becomes clear that although two men have professed
their undying love, only one has truly responded to “the light in the
window.”
MY REVIEW
About the book:
No man can resist her charms. Or so she thought. Charity O'Connor is a
woman who gets what she wants. Her stunning beauty and flirtatious ways
have always succeeded with men. Until Mitch Dennehy, that is.
Brilliant
and dangerously handsome, Mitch is a no-nonsense newspaperman who wants
nothing to do with her. Charity burned him once, destroying his
engagement to the only woman he ever truly loved. He won't play with
matches again. But Charity has a plan to turn up the heat, hoping to
ignite the heart of the man she loves. And she always gets what she
wants--one way or another.
Or does she? Will her best-laid
schemes win his love? Or will her seductive ways drive him away forever?
Book 2 in the Daughters of Boston series, A Passion Redeemed will
captivate your heart and stir your soul with a story of faith and
redemption rising from the ashes of temptation, desire, and shame.
MY REVIEW
These are THREE great books that will be given away this week during week 2 of my ten year blogaversary. I will be featuring memories from reading and reviewing Julie's books. I also have an interview with a couple of characters from one of her books.

leliamae54(at)aol(dot)com
I adore Julie! I have only read a few of her books. But after meeting her this summer...she is hands down one of my favorite people! Congrats and thank you!!! dance.yourself.silly18ATgmailDOTcom
ANDI!!! SUPER CONGRATS ON TEN YEARS OF BLOGGING, GIRLFRIEND -- WOW!! I haven't even been published that long, so you got started early. :)
LUCY, THANK YOU for your sweet comment and for coming by! Good luck in the contest! :)
RACHEL!!! I feel the same way after meeting you, my friend, so thank You, God, that CFRR gave us that wonderful opportunity!!
Hugs and Happy Blogaversary to one of my favorite people!!
Julie
Congrats again on your 10th blogging anniversary, Andi, quite an accomplishment!! I've been reviewing for about 6 years, however, not as long blogging. We have similar reading tastes as you've featured two of my very fave authors for the first two weeks of your celebration.
Liz Curtis Higgs introduced me to Christian Fiction with her fiction novels, after I'd read and purchased every book she'd written - I proceeded to do the same with Julie's books and then those of other authors I came to love. It is she who introduced me to the writing of Laura Frantz - so you see I was blessed to venture into reading Christian Fiction with the novels from the best of the best in Christian Fiction authors.
Words can't express how grateful I am for the gift and blessing of Christian Fiction and it's authors in my life!! Thanks for all you do to support Christian Fiction and it's authors - I think you feel it your ministry, just as I do through His leading!!
I shared this post - however, won't be entering the giveaway as I have everything Julie has written, in every format, and shared her writing with family and friends also. I'm so grateful other readers will have the opportunity to become acquainted with her beautiful, inspiring family stories - made so by her writing from her heart and His leading!!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing the post! I knew nothing about blogging or reviewing. I set up this blog to keep track of my reading. A friend told me about Christian Fiction Blog Alliance, I joined and that's how I got started. Yes, I believe this is my ministry. Not only do I encourage the authors I get to help readers find new books to read.
JULIE!!!! One of my favorite authors!! Thanks for stopping by! I know you are enjoying your new granddaughter. Thanks for giving Christian fiction clean romances with heart palpitating scenes where you need a cool drink of water! Love you my friend!!
Love love love Julie's books. Congrats on your 10th blogging anniversary . I am just a year into my blog and it is slow going.I don't know much about it so it's one step at a time. Your blog is awesome and I wish you many more years of success.
Deana
Jhdwayne(at)peoplepc(dot)com
I adore her too!! I so wanted to go to CFRR to meet her and several others in person. Hopefully next year!
You are welcome! Good luck!!
Congratulations Andie on your anniversary and what a way to celebrate! Thank you for featuring one of the best Christian fiction authors ever and this wonderful giveaway! Like you I fell in love with Julie's writing after reading A Passion Most Pure (which should be required reading for all romance lovers! :) ) and loved her books ever since! Not only do her stories contain romance that can raise your temp, but inspiration that can raise your spirits. I really love Julie not just for her books, but for the special person that she is! Congrats again on your blog!! lynnefeuerstein(at)aol(dot)com
Thanks Deana! My mom's name is Deanna, close to yours. I remember when I read A Passion Most Pure I fell in love with the characters and the writing and have been a fan ever since!
Thanks, Lynne! I think the Daughters of Boston series should be required reading for every teenage girl! Not only would they learn about being pure they'd also have fun along the way.
Congratulations on your blogaversary. Thanks for offering such a wonderful giveaway for us to enter. This is a terrific prize. Someone is going to be very lucky. Hope it's me.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck!!!
I love Julie's books! Hope to meet her someday in person as well(: Congrats on your blogging anniversary Andie! This is an awesome giveaway! Hope to win(:
Thanks, Dorina! I hope to meet her someday too!!
BONNIE!!! I thank God all the time for the day that we met online, my sweet friend! You and Andi are two of the best advocates for Christian fiction out there, and I am SO grateful to have both of you in my life!!
Love you!
Julie
ANDI ... just got home tonight and had a WONDERFUL TIME!! Little Evie is so precious and such a miracle, and Rory and Micah were just SO much fun to play with!! All around, a gift from God -- both the trip and these precious kids!!
Hugs!!
Julie
DEANA, THANK YOU, my sweet friend -- love you too!! And give it time, Deana -- it takes years to build a blog and a following, so just have fun with it because before long, it's going to get awfully busy! ;)
Hugs and more hugs,
Julie
ANDI ... I know I asked you this once before, but I think I forgot. Do you spell your name Andi or Andie? I think I remember you telling me "Andi," but it appears on your comments as Andie. But it shows as Andi on FB and in your email addy, so I'm guessing that's correct?
And I am praying that you and I can meet one day at CFRR, my sweet friend -- that would be a dream come true for me!!
Hugs and more hugs,
Julie
LYNNE SAID: "Like you I fell in love with Julie's writing after reading A Passion Most Pure (which should be required reading for all romance lovers! :)"
LOL ... don't I wish!! ;) And I LOVE your line: "Not only do her stories contain romance that can raise your temp, but inspiration that can raise your spirits." I may just use that quote sometime, sweetie -- it's that good! :)
And GOD BLESS YOU, my sweet friend, for the ADORABLE Gone With the Wind bookmark charm -- I LOVE IT!! You totally blessed my day with it, so THANK YOU!!
Hugs and more hugs,
Julie
LINDA, I hope you win, too, my friend, so thanks for coming by!
God bless and GOOD LUCK!!
Hugs,
Julie
DORINA!! Trust me, I would LOVE to meet you too, my friend, so maybe at a future CFRR or ACFW Conference??? Thank you SO much for your sweet comment and for coming by -- I hope it earns you a win!
Hugs and GOOD LUCK!
JULIE
I can feel your excitement through your post. I am so glad you got to spend time with them. There is nothing more precious than seeing our grands, such a beautiful gift from God!
You are beyond precious my friend. I set up my blog spelling my name Andie and never changed it. Either spelling is fine with me. I liked it with the ie because that's how Andie McDowell spells her name.
I don't live far from Oregon or Washington so next time you go maybe I could come see you.
Hugs and more hugs!!
Very excited for your milestone on blogging! I guess I should check out my blog and see how long I've been blogging.
