If you can believe it in just two days we will be ringing in 2010. I can't believe it! My kids are getting older, my granddaughter will be 2 in April, and my youngest daughter, Kris is closer to graduating from high school. As I ponder over the events of 2009 I am in awe of how God has worked in my life over and over again. I can see His finger prints in every little area of my life. From finding out about my ex-husband's cheating, to loosing my home, to meeting the best people in the world that have become my support and encouragement. God really does have it all in His hands, we just need to sit back and let Him work. I know easier said than done, yet there is so much more peace when we do it.
This New Year I will be doing something different with my prayer time and I thought I would challenge my readers to do the same. I got this from a dear friend of mine. She calls it her prayer bowl. She takes rocks, pieces of glass (from a craft store), and writes a prayer request on it and places it in the bowl. This helps her remember what and who to pray for. When she told me I thought it was a great idea. Like her I can get really busy and forget prayer requests, yet if I had this bowl with names and needs where I would see it all the time, I wouldn't forget it. So I challenge you to try it and see how God blesses you through praying for others.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year! May God's blessing be on you and your families!
