First Line Friday - Featuring The Engagement Plot

This year is moving way too quickly! Today is the last Friday of September, and Sunday is October 1st. Are you like me realizing how close Christmas is? Christmas is fine, as long as the snow stays away.

About the book:

Can Hanna and Will Find True Love amid the Bright Lights of Reality TV?
Perfect for the fans of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette!
Six months ago, William stole Hanna’s heart and shattered it in front of millions of people on a reality TV dating show. And now the big-wig CEO is back on Hanna’s home turf in Minnesota and wants her to forgive him? Fat chance of that. But life is swirling around faster than snow in a blizzard, and despite her objections, teaming up with William seems like the only option to rescue her reputation.
William has never regretted anything more than the day he gave that ill-fated interview for the reality show, The Price of Love. But while he can’t change the past, he’s determined to fix the future. He just needs to convince Hanna to forgive him—and pretend to be engaged with him. Simple, right?
When the media erupts with even worse accusations, teaming up and pretending to be engaged seems to be the only way to salvage their reputations.  Despite the media frenzy that swirls around them, an attraction neither of them can fight off begins to surface. Could this love run deeper than a scandal, or will old wounds tear them apart once and for all?  When all seems lost, it’s only with help from above that Hanna and Will may find their happily-ever-after.

First Line:

"Blizzard-like conditions are expected to last through the evening. Stay inside, folks. If you're out there on the roads, well, just don't be."

Hanna Knight clicked the POWER button on the radio as she inched the Dodge Ram pickup down the snow-covered highway.

Next week, October 6th, a new website for First Line Fridays will be up and running. You can go ahead and visit today as there is a giveaway going but the linkup won't be working until next week. It's not Hoarding if it's Books

We hope this will make it easier and allow anyone to join at anytime.

Please leave your first line in the comments and then visit my fellow blogging buddies to read their first line.

Christmas is getting close, isn't it? But there's no worry of snow here! LOL!

I'm featuring the first line from Melissa Tagg's "All This Time" on my blog this week. I can't believe the Walker Family series is finished! 😭 But here, I'm going to share the first line from Chapter 1 of Toni Shiloh's new release, Returning Home:

Jo Ellen Baker slammed the tailgate of her pickup shut.

Have a great weekend!

Oh, that is an great first line! I've been in that position (every winter here in Michigan). I'm not a fan of snow, especially driving in it. I've been on the fence about reading this book (because of time, and soooo many books), but after reading the first line, I'm hooked!

Oh man! Christmas is indeed getting close. Where did the time fly! That's a fantastic great line. Sometimes I wish it would snow here, but it never does. Haha.

I'm featuring "All This Time" by Melissa Tagg on the blog today, but for here, I'll share my first line from Hometown Girl by Courtney Walsh. It's one of the three books I'm currently reading and I'm loving it so far.

"Beth Whitaker hated flowers."

Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday! My first line is from Magnolia Storms by Janet Ferguson:
“Fear and loss snaked around Magnolia Marovich’s heart like they always did when she studied the satellite images on the three computer screens in front of her. Not again.

The line between boy and man was never murkier than when a father died too soo. Leaving his son to walk through the foibles of youth while shouldering the responsibilities of adulthood.
