ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

For more than a decade, Sandra D. Bricker lived in Los Angeles. While honing her chosen craft of screenwriting in every spare moment, she worked as a personal assistant and publicist to some of daytime television's hottest stars. When her mother became ill in Florida, she walked away from that segment of her life and moved across the country to take on a new role: Caregiver.

The Big 5-OH! was released by Abingdon Press in the Spring of 2010, and the novel was very well-received, garnering a couple of nibbles from Hollywood.

Always the Baker, Never the Bride was released by Abingdon Press in September 2010. With its phenomenal reviews, the novel spawned a series of three more books based on the popular cast of characters at The Tanglewood Inn, a wedding destination hotel in historic Roswell, Georgia. The series cemented Sandie's spot in publishing as a flagship author of Laugh-Out-Loud romantic comedy for the inspirational market.

"Being allowed to combine my faith and my humor with my writing dream," says Bricker, "well, that's the best of all worlds, as far as I'm concerned!"

ABOUT THE BOOK

It’s taken Audrey Regan years to establish herself as a wedding dress designer, and to date she’s been roped into creating dresses for nine of her girlfriends. Request #10 follows her vow to “Just say no!” and comes from her very best friend. She can hardly turn Carly down!

Audrey arrives in Atlanta early to perform all of her maid-of-honor duties along with final fittings for a one-of-a-kind dress. But Carly’s wedding is nothing short of an event, complete with Prince Charming, and the festivities make Audrey question whether there’s a prince of her own anywhere in her future.

Enter the groom’s brother and best man. Shaggy-haired, tattooed bad boy J.R. Hunt couldn’t be any more different from Prince Charming if he rode in on a Harley Davidson.  Oh, wait. He actually did ride in on a Harley!

My Thoughts:  Sandra Bricker fast became a favorite of mine with Love Finds You in Holiday, Florida. I have read all of the Emma Rae books and have loved every one!  I loved J.R. he was a leading man to die for, and Audrey knew he was bad news but she just couldn't say no to those eyes! I love Sandra's books because I have a smile on my face, I giggle, chuckle out loud, and even after I close the last page I want more. If you haven't read any of Sandra's books I encourage you to grab this one, a glass of ice tea and sit on your porch for a great read! You won't be sorry!

An Uncommon Grace - Reviewed

Book Blurb: Grace Connor, a military nurse formerly stationed in Afghanistan, hopes that moving to a farm in rural Ohio will help her recover from the ravages of war, and keep her teenage brother out of trouble. When Levi Troyer meets Grace, he is at his most vulnerable. His stepfather has been murdered and his mother wounded by intruders. Grace saves his mother’s life and Levi is more than thankful. However, any relationship between them is forbidden by his faith. Even before meeting Grace, Levi had begun to question some of the teachings of his ultra-conservative Amish sect. He has considered leaving, but knows he will be banned forever from having contact with his younger siblings and widowed mother—who need him to survive. Grace is struggling with trying to figure out how to live her life without the man she has grown to love. Meanwhile, a murderer must be caught. Will love and justice prevail?

My Thoughts: Grace has a decision to make, she is up for reenlistment and not sure whether to reenlist or not so she asks God for a sign, that sign comes in the form of an email from her sister Becky who tells her that her grandmother is ill and that she needs to come home. No sooner does she arrive than the Amish family across the way who her grandmother Elizabeth is close with, suffers a break in and murder. The father is killed and wife who is pregnant is injured and the baby survives yet needs close medical care. Grace's training comes into play at the time of the incident and after. Levi has to take care of his younger siblings, and the farm; Grace comes over to help his mother Claire with the baby, and there is a strong attraction. The problem is that she is an Englischer and he is Amish. The romance tension is so real you feel it between the pages, and you want so desperately for Levi and Grace to get together! Serena has written a vivid book, so rich in detail that you don't want to miss it! This is not your average Amish story. I highly recommend it!!! Go and grab your copy today!
