Carrie Underwood to play Maria in the Sound of Music 2013 . . . REALLY????!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what some executive over at NBC was thinking but they had to be HIGH on something! Certain things need to be left alone and this is one of them. You don't mess with perfection and Julie Andrews as Maria is perfection.
Who will play Captain VonTrapp??? Christopher Plummer is too old, and he and Julie had perfect chemistry in the original and there is no way they will be able to find anyone to compare to that.

So what's next . . . a remake of Gone With the Wind? Who will play Vivian Leigh and Clark Gable?
Or Casablanca  . . .

Oh I know since this executive thinks Carrie Underwood can double as Julie Andrews maybe a remake of Mary Poppins. Disney would never go for it! Carrie can sing, she is not a trained singer like Julie and not only will this be a botched movie, I can already hear Do-Re-Mi with a southern twang! Thank God I have a digitally remastered version on DVD and will not be watching!
