ABOUT THE BOOK

Just as she's settling into her new life, a message arrives from Katie's past, threatening to expose her darkest secrets. During her Rumspringa, her running-around years, she experimented with activities forbidden in the Amish way of life. Frightened by how far she'd strayed from her values, Katie ran back home, vowing to cut all ties with the outside world. Now her transgressions are coming back to haunt her, just as Jonathan seems willing to welcome her into his heart.
Will the past destroy Katie's chances for love? Or will Katie finally allow herself to accept God's love, forgive her past...and receive everything she's ever wanted?

My Review: Katie is 20 and has feelings for widower Johnathon Lundy. He comes to her home and wants her to be a nanny to his two young daughters while his sister goes away to meet the young man that she has feelings for. Katie is annoyed that he wants her to just be the "nanny" for his daughters but she so hopes that being able to be the care taker of the girls will provide the necessary time for them to be together. The problem, Katie's parents don't think it's proper for a young girl of "courting" age to be living with a man regardless the circumstance. Even though Johnathon has told them he wouldn't be staying in the house. Katie is even more frustrated with the romance blossoming under her own roof with her friend Anna and her brother Henry. Even after her parents give in and allow her to help Johnathon with his daughters, Hannah and Mary, the trouble doesn't end there. During Rumspringa, the Amish's "running-around years" when the children decide whether they will choose to be Amish or not, Katie did things that were against the Amish tradition and while she returned home the past is coming back to haunt her. The question before Katie is will she choose the love that Johnathon has for her, and accept God forgetting her past or will she return to the past she experienced during Rumspringa? I'm not telling! You'll have to go pick up a copy! I will give it a lighthouse and shine a light on it for being a great book!
