FROMMIPOV: What a fun book this was, especially with it being Fall! For me, I was drawn right in at the first chapter. Having an Uncle whose a retired lawyer, and former judge, and a cousin who is a assistant district attorney this book was like listening to dinner conversation. Here's the basic gist: Emma Madison is as beautiful as she is courtroom tough! On the day that a mysterious phone number shows up on her cell phone from the 803 area code, she's just won a huge insurance case that was referred to David against Goliath. She's standing outside the courtroom talking with another partner when she realizes she hasn't checked her cell phone messages. It's then that she sees this number from Juneberry, South Carolina. She calls the number back and it's her cousin, she finds out that her father has had a massive heart attack, he may not live and she needs to come home immediately. Once she gets there she receives such a warm family welcome, something she hasn't felt in a long time, and realizes she's missed. With seeing her family, her best friend, and the long lost boyfriend Michael Evans, Emma's just waiting for everyone to ask the dreaded question . . . why did you leave twelve years ago, not look back, and stay in touch. That's not the only question that needs an answer . . . her firm in Boston is pushing her to return back and take on a powerful client, or does she stay in Juneberry with Michael who never forgot, and still loves her. I'm not telling you the end of the story. You will have to go and get a copy for yourself, and you won't be sorry that you did! This was a great book, it had more suspense than I anticipated, and the characters are people that you wish lived in your neighborhood! I highly recommend this book, and give it 5 stars out of 5. It is released this October 2008 so go and get yourself a copy, and curl up with your favorite Fall beverage!
