Dawn of a Dream Reviewed

Her dream is within her grasp--but can she leave her past behind?

Luellen O'Connell is stunned when her husband of just one month tells her he is leaving--and his reason devastates her. Deeply wounded by his betrayal, Luellen decides to follow her dream to become a teacher, a desire she had set aside when she married. But can she truly hide her past? Or will it destroy her ambitions forever?

A moving story of tenacity and perseverance, The Dawn of a Dream will inspire you to discover and follow your own dreams.

My Thoughts: Luellen's life is turned upside down one day when her husband comes home and announces he is going to Chicago to work on the railroad and she is not going with him because he already has wife, and she is there waiting for him! Her sister's wedding is fast approaching and she is definitely not looking forward to it. When she met Brenden she was planning on being a school teacher, and he wooed her and she married him, disregarding that dream. Now that her marriage was over would she pursue that dream again. Would she find love again.

Ann Shorey has created characters that you care about, hurt with, and triumph for! I highly recommend this book! It will make a great summer beach read!
