ABC Family's Secret Life of the Am. Teen & Adoption

I am fit to be tied about the way that ADOPTION is being portrayed on this show. I am adopted
and I don't like that instead of it being portrayed as a good thing it's being portrayed as a something that isn't that positive. Like a fifteen year old is ready to be a Mom. They're barely ready to drive let alone do all that is necessary to care for a baby. While I realize that each family has to make their own decisions when it comes to this, I don't agree with adoption being put down in the way that it is. In fact Adoption should be the first thing talked about and not in the sense of a way to just dump the baby, but in the sense that it is the best thing for the baby. The baby should always be the main concern. My birth mother was 13 when she got pregnant and turned 14 a month after she gave birth to me. She loved me enough to think about what was best for me, and what was best for me was a home with two parents who were old enough not just in age, but in maturity to be able to care for me physically, emotionally, spiritually, psychologically, to be there for whatever I needed.
I would much rather like to see adoption be portrayed in a positive light rather than always negative.
